gratitude and faith ...

It seems Razaa was too eager to come into this world. My sister (Nancy) went into labour pain on 12 March - immediately after completing 26 weeks. She had been going through a difficult pregnancy. Being a doctor, she knew that there were some complications and there were chances of the baby being born prematurely but none of us had suspected that it would be so soon. The doctors tried to delay her labour by giving her medicines but nothing worked. The doctors in our hometown - Patiala said that there was no way they would be able to save the baby as they do not have neonatal care facility. The whole family was devastated. Amidst all the disappointment and confusion, Raminder (my brother-in-law) called one of his friends who is a pediatrician and he suggested that there were some chances of saving the baby at PGI (about 1.5 hrs drive from Patiala), Chandigarh. Without any further delay, Nancy was rushed to PGI, where she delivered a small girl. The baby was put on a ventilator and since that day, this tiny little girl has been struggling to keep herself alive.

Nancy and Raminder decided to name this little wonder - "Razaa" meaning God’s will. Her chances of survival started from 0% and slowly kept growing and today, she seems to be doing pretty well. She has gone through quite a lot - jaundice, sepsis shock, kidney failure, PDA, advanced ROP (a condition of the eye that could have resulted in blindness) but every time she bounced back and kept our hopes alive.

Her brain ultra sound had shown mild damage but the doctors are not sure what effect that damage could have on her. The scars in her brain could self-heal and she could lead an absolutely normal life. So what is important is to watch the milestones. Her first smile brought tremendous joy into our lives as that was the first indication that her brain is progressing normally.

Now, we all are waiting for her to start rolling over and to start sitting on her own. The muscle tone in her lower limbs is high and that is a little worrisome. This could result in her not being able to do fine moments but again the doctors and we all are quite hopeful that with time the muscle tone would be normal and she would start crawling and walking. She has shown positive signs – she has started moving her legs more vigorously and we can also make out that she makes an effort to roll over. We seek your blessings and prayers in this regard.

The other condition that she is struggling with is her eye sight. The laser surgery that was performed to correct the ROP condition was successful but the surgery damaged her retina. The effects are still not known so far except that her eye sight is always going to be weak and she might require glasses at a very young age (may be 2 years). She also has a squint in her eye and her eyes are photo sensitive i.e. she cannot keep her eyes open in the sun for long. Again, the doctors say that since she is so young, her retina might self heal and needless to say that we are very optimistic J Our prayers are with her and knowing the fighting spirit of this girl, I am very hopeful that she would be able to beat this odd as well and will be able to see this beautiful world that she was so eager to enter.
"Doesn't matter whether one believes in religion or God - the important thing is to bring ourselves in a state of mind closest to a prayer"

thank you... Posted by Hello

During this difficult time our best companions have been "prayers" and my family's constant Faith that there is somebody out there who would take care of this little angel. A lot of people have prayed for Razaa and surprisingly, that includes a lot of strangers who have never met any one of us or Razaa and who would probably never meet us also. They formed a beautiful connection with us through their healing prayers.
We had put a healing request for Razaa on some healing web sites and many people came forward to give the gift of prayers to Razaa selflessly. I have been sending regular updates about Razaa’s condition to these healers and my faith in their healing prayers have grown with time. Every time, I share an update on Razaa with these strangers, I feel blessed. Their responses and capacity to love and bless a stranger has amazed me. I have this growing feeling that Razaa could not have made it without being touched by all of these healers.

I have added all the updates that I have sent about Razaa’s condition below. I have also put the responses that were sent to me by the healers as comments to these updates. This is my gift to our little family angel. I hope she will grow up to appreciate the selfless gift of blessing given to her by these selfless strangers from all over the world.

Razaa's Update

Namaste,

Thanks for your continued prayers. Razaa got her third eye examination yesterday and with God's grace, the disease in her eyes has regressed and the doctor is very happy with the progress. The right eye has responded better than the left eye and we expect that the left eye would also catch up with time. As per the doctor's prognosis, blindness is ruled out (yahoooooooooo!!) but we have to wait for a few weeks to find out the degree to which her vision would be restored. Her peripheral retina is scarred because of which she might have problems in night vision. But with age, there is a very minute possibility that the scar in her eyes might get healed and with Razaa's fighting spirit and the prayers, anything is a possibility. So let us keep praying for her eyes in the next 2 to 3 weeks and hope that most of her vision would be restored.

Another great news is that yesterday Razaa has been sent home!! Isn't it great that after 2 months and 3 days in the hospital, Razaa and her mother finally moved out of the hospital to start a new phase of life. Hopefully, things will ease down for Razaa. Her eye examination and other test would continue on a weekly basis.

Before leaving the hospital, all routine tests were done and with God's grace, everything was normal except for Anemia. She is still suffering from acute anemia and that is contributing to her ROP (eye problem) as well. The level of anemia has not gone down in the past few weeks. This is because she is very premature. As per the doctors, it will go down by itself after a few more weeks.

I have a lot of gratitude for you all in my heart. I truly believe that Razaa could not have made it this far without your healing prayers and thoughts. Thank you for your gift of love and prayers to Razaa. It has meant a lot of for all of us. Please do keep praying for her eyes.

In gratitude,
Gagan

Razaa's update

Namaste,
Thanks for your continued prayers. Razaa got her second eye examinationdone today. The doctor said that the disease has started regressing fromthe retina but there are some chances of retina detachment. Retinadetachment is an after effect of laser surgery and can cause permanentblindness. The risk for retina detachment is going to be high for the next two weeks. The doctor said that till that time he does not want tocomment any thing about her vision.
She is also suffering anemia of prematurity, which is a factor thatcontinues to ROP (her eye condition). The doctors are hoping that heranemia should go down within a week or so.
Apart from that, she is doing pretty fine. She is responding well tospoon feed and is gaining good amount of weight. This little girl has been a miracle baby so far and I have a strongfeeling that her eyes are going to be fine and she would be able to seethe beauty of this world. Please continue to bless her and her eyes withyour healing prayers. During this uncertain time, your prayers aretouching us in a very positive way for which we are eternally gratefulto you all.
Thank you!

Razaa's Update

Namasta,

Razaa has once again proved her fighting spirit and the power of healing
prayers. Her eye examination was done yesterday and the doctor was very
happy to see the results. The growth has started regressing which is a
very positive sign and the doctor said that has increased the chances
for Razaa's vision. The final answer as to how much vision is restored
would only be known in a week or two. I don't have enough words to thank
you all for your gift of prayers for this little being. It is making a
big difference in her life.

Razaa's weight is about 1500gms now and she has started responding very
well to spoon feeding. Once she starts taking the entire feed (19ml
every two hours) with the spoon, she would be ready to be discharged
from the hospital after the regular tests to find out if her brain is
developing fine or not. She is a brave girl and we all are really proud
of her.

Please continue to pray for her well being and her vision. She deserves
to see the beauty of this world after fighting so hard.

Once again, thank you all for touching our lives in such positive way.

In gratitude,
Gagan

Razaa's Update

Namaste,

I just came back from India yesterday. Razaa was recovering very fine
till last week when was diagnosed with an advanced and rare case of
threshold ROP. This condition is very rare in children and can cause
permanent blindness. The doctors performed laser surgery on her on
Monday and she was stable throughout the surgery.

The results of the surgery would only be known on Monday (05/09/05). The
laser surgery should make the growth on her retina regress and if the
regression does not happen then there would not be any chance for vision
restoration. If regression happens then there would be hope and in a few
weeks time, we will come to know how much vision is restored. The
doctors say that there are 50% chances that the growth would regress.
Razaa has beaten all odds so far and we are counting on her to beat this
one as well.

Razaa is going through a lot of discomfort after this surgery. Her eyes
are swollen and red. She has stopped taking spoon feed as she does not
have the energy to suckle. She is back on tube feeding.

Please pray that her vision is restored and the required regression
happens. Razaa needs your blessings and healing prayers. We are keeping
our fingers crossed to hear good news on Monday.

Many thanks,

In gratitude,
Gagan

Razaa's Update

Namaste,

Thanks for your continuing healing prayers. Raza's diagnosis for
Retinopathy of Pre-maturity (ROP Type2) was confirmed by doctors in
India last night. Since this is a degenerative condition, she was rushed
for immediate laser surgery for both her eyes. We heard this morning
that this difficult & risk-prone surgery went well, however there was no
final verdict about Raza's eye-condition yet. Doctors would be able to
confirm the success of the surgery only in the next week or so. We
request your healing prayers for Raza's health so that this young thing
can grow up with healthy eyes and marvel at the wonders of the world
around her.

Thanks for blessing Razaa with all your prayers. Please know they are
making a world of difference for us...

With graitude,
Gagan

Razaa's Update

Namaste,

Thanks for your continuing healing prayers. Razaa has come a long way
and has been able to beat all the odds so far. Today, we came to know of
another challenge that has come her way. Her ROP (eye) examination took
place today and it was diagnosed that she has Type 2 ROP, which is
atypical and is not very common. The prognosis is not very positive for
this type of ROP. The chances of this ROP getting treated is 67% via
laser treatment. In 33% cases, it can result in permanent blindness.
Also, as per the doctor even if the treatment is successful, the vision
of the child is not very good.

She is going to have another eye examination on Monday to confirm the
diagnosis and if it is confirmed then she will be given the laser
treatment immediately. Please pray for her eyes. So far, she has made us
believe in miracles. We are once again hoping for another miracle.

Thanks for your blessings and prayers.

Gagan

Razaa's Update

Namaste,

Thanks for your continued prayers and healing thoughts. Raza now weighs
1285gms and she is for most parts progressing fine. Aided by your
healing prayers, she is able to maintain her body temperature now. A big
thanks for keeping her in your prayers and thoughts which has helped her
come to this point from a very sordid situation a few weeks back.
She still is being fed via the feeding tube and the next step in her
recovery is her being able to accept spoon feed. Once that happens, her
weight increase rate shall accelerate, helping her maintain her body
temperature and develop immunity. I also request you to pray for Raza's
mother (my sister) who has been hanging-in courageously without any
post-pregnancy rest. She's by her daughter's side much of the time and
has taken care of the little one with gross neglect of her own self.
Please pray to provide her the energy needed to see Raza to good health.
Thanks for your healing blessings ..
Love,
Gagan

Razaa's update - Day 37

Namaste,

Thanks for your continued prayers and healing thoughts. I apologize for
not sending the updates earlier. I have been helping my sister and have
been very busy.

Razaa is doing fine and is out of the incubator now. She weights about
1142 gms. She has been shifted to a special ward where she has been
handed over to my sister now and she is taking care of her. I also saw
Razaa for the first time last week. I had very mixed emotions on seeing
this tiny being who looked so helpless and yet was such a good fighter
and was overcoming each and every hurdle. She is much more tinier than
what she appears to be in the pictures but she is a little angel for all
of us.

The only problem that she is facing now is that she is not able to
maintain her body temperature. We have to adjust the heater all the time
so that her temperature remains within the normal limits. The doctors
are saying that if everything remains fine with her then she can be sent
home once she is 1500 gms. We all are eagerly waiting for her to gain
weight.

Thanks for blessing Razaa and us with all your prayers. We all need it
and it is making a difference to our lives.
Thanks!

Love and gratitude,
Gagan

Razaa...

Razaa Posted by Hello

Day 32

Namaste,

I am with my sister and Razaa in India (though I am still not able tosee Razaa as nobody except her parent's are allowed in the nursery).Razaa is doing fine so far. Her heart condition also mysteriouslyimproved without any medications...probably, the prayers and the bestwishes worked for her :-). She has gained some weight in the last coupleof days and now weighs more than 1000gms. Her biggest challenge now isto stay away from any infection so that she can recover as soon aspossible. That "somebody who is taking care of this universe" has beenvery kind on Razaa and us so far and we are very hopeful that thekindness and the blessing would continue :-)

I am attaching a picture of Razaa with this email. Hope you will likethis tiny little being who is fighting hard to be alive and experiencethe small pleasures of life.

Thanks for your continued prayers and blessings and touching our lives.

Love and gratitude,
Gagan

Day 28 - Part 2

Namaste,

I just came to know from my sister that Razaa's PDA (hole in the heart) has re-occurred. PDA
is a hole in the heart that she had earlier (before she went into septic shock). It is a common condition in babies. The general cure is via medicine but if it does not go away then a surgery is required. She has lready had the medicine once and it was cured but it seems that it has
re-appeared. The doctors are going to put her on medicine again. Let us end positive enegy to her so that this condition is cured via this mdicine. She is in no condition to undergo a surgery.

Thanks for your healing thoughts and your selfless act of service for this tiny being.

Love,
Gagan

Day 25

Namaste,

The latest on Razaa is that her infection has come down to a point that
doctors have stopped the antibiotics. Her immune system is still not
very well developed so we are a little worried about her catching any
new infections. Also, she is not able to maintain her body temperature.
Her body temperature keeps fluctuating and can cause some problems for
her. On every other front, she seems to be doing fine.

Thanks for your continued prayers and blessings. It is making a huge
difference to somebody miles away.

Love and gratitude,
Gagan

Day 24

Namaste,

Thanks for your continued healing prayers..it has really comforted us in
the most difficult moments and continues to comfort our hearts and
souls. Thanks so much.

Razaa is doing very fine. She is gaining weight. Her current weight is
965 gms. Her only challenge is to be able to maintain body temperature,
which keeps fluctuating. She will be in the incubator till she is able
to maintain her body temperature. I am sure she will beat this odd as
well !

I am leaving for India on Monday to help my sister(I am not sure if I
ever mentioned but I am currently in the US and have not seen Razaa as
yet). I will be sending you a picture of Razaa once I reach there.

Once again..many thanks to you all.

Love and gratitude,
Gagan

Day 22

Namaste,

It seems Razaa is on the path of recovery now. She is responding well to
medicines and has started milk as well. Her skin is also improving. Let
us hope and pray that she does not get any new infection as that is
highest risk at this point of time since her immune system is not
developed enough to fight any kind of infection.

I think I just cannot thank you all enough for all the healing prayers
that you are sending her way. The prayers have really helped this
miracle baby. Many thanks!

In gratitude,
Gagan

Saturday, April 02, 2005

Day 20

Namaste,

With your prayers and blessings, Razaa is doing fine. The doctors have
put her on a milk diet - 10ml every 2 hours and she is responding well
so far. She is breathing fine on her own as well. Yesterday, my sister
got to carry her in her arms for more than 30 minutes and my sister says
that Razaa slept very peacefully during that time :-). She has gained
some weight as well. Her skin is still not in a very good shape so she
is in a lot of pain.

We are hoping that nothing will go wrong in the next few weeks. Because
she really needs to build her immune system and she not only has to cope
with the fact that she is pre-mature but also from the after effects of
the septic-shock she had gone into. Knowing her fighting spirit and also
with all the prayers for her, I think she would come out fine.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am trying to get a
picture of Razaa and will send to you as soon as I have one. You being
out there praying for her gives us a lot of strength.

Many thanks,

In gratitude,
Gagan

Day 19

Namaste,

I am here to report another positive day on Razaa's behalf. Her vitals
are doing fine and her infection levels have also gone down. Her skin is
still in quite bad shape and she is in a lot of pain because of that.
They couldn't put her on milk diet yesterday because she was aspirating.
Hopefully, they will be able to put her on milk diet by tomorrow. It
will do her very good once she starts drinking milk.

She still needs your prayer for her to recover fully and be out of
danger. The doctors say that they cannot perdict anything until she is
34 weeks old (gestation period). She is already 29 weeks. I am very
thankful to you all for being a part of this journey with us and sharing
our ups and downs. It really makes me feel blessed and also makes me
realize the beauty that exists in this world because of selfless people
like you.

Many many thanks,
Gagan

Thursday, March 31, 2005

Day 18

Namaste,

Today is again an UP day for Razaa...she is improving a lot. She is off
the ventilator and is breathing on her own again. Her infection is also
going down and her skin is also improving. She has not been put on a
milk diet as yet because of some problem with her stomach but we are
hoping that she would be on it by tomorrow. She has lost a lot of weight
in these last few days (840gm). It is very important that she gains good
weight. That will happen once she is back on the milk diet.

Thanks for your continued prayers...it is very comforting for all of us.
I think it is the prayers that have helped her fight all the odds so
far. Thank you so much.

Many thanks,
Gagan

Wednesday, March 30, 2005

Day 17

Namaste,

Thanks to everybody's prayers and efforts, Razaa is doing well. She has
been taken off the life saving drugs and her heart is functioning fine
so far. Her kidney tests are also fine now and so the doctors can start
the right dosage of anti-biotics which would help to heal her infection.
Her skin is still in bad shape and one can make out that she is in a lot
of pain because of that. But the good thing is that with the right
dosage of anti-biotic, we are expecting that the skin condition would
also improve. The doctors might re-start the milk intake for her
tomorrow. We are praying for her and are also amazed by the fighting
spirit of this little girl.

Thanks for blessing us with your prayers. Also, thanks for letting me
share Razaa's condition with you. It is a great solace for me and my
family.

Love and gratitude,
Gagan

Tuesday, March 29, 2005

Day 16

Namaste,

With God's blessing and your prayers, Razaa is improving. She is such an
amazing girl. She has once again beaten the odds against her and is
trying to come out as a winner. Her kidneys are once again functioning
and she is off dialysis now. The doctors are also trying to reduce the
life saving drugs that she is on. They are going to reduce the drugs
slowly and see if she can be on her own and then once again they will
start her on a milk diet etc.

Her skin had also started peeling off because of the infection. This has
also improved except that one of her hand is still in a very bad
condition.

Thank you for your continued prayers....your prayers are really making a
difference to this tiny being and to all of us.

Many Thanks and gratitude,
Gagan

Monday, March 28, 2005

Day 15

Namaste,

Thanks for all your prayers and blessings.

The last two days have been really traumatic for Razaa and for all of
us. Her kidneys stopped working and her heart rate was abnormally high
because of the infection. The doctors started doing dialysis and told us
that there are very bleak chances that she would make it through. We all
prayed to God to show us a sign if she could make it. Last night, she
started passing urine on her own which means that the kidneys might
start working and the infection in the blood might go down. We are
taking this as a sign and are hanging on this hope. The doctors are also
hopeful now (even though she is still not out of danger).

Please pray for her strength. With God's will, she will make it to the
end.

In gratitude,
Gagan

Sunday, March 27, 2005

Day 14

Namaste,

Today is a very difficult night (it is night time in India)for Razaa.
She had a renal failure and the doctors are doing a dialysis on her,
which would take more than 24 hours. In between, they would keep
checking her kidneys to see if they have started functioning and
continue the process till her kidneys start working again. The prognosis
by the doctors is not very optimistic but our hearts are hoping for the
best. Razaa has fought so many odds so far and I am praying and hoping
that she will fight this one as well. Please send her the energy of your
prayers so that she is able to fight all odds.

Thanks so much for being there and reading my emails and praying for
her. It means a lot to me and my family.

In gratitude,
Gagan

Saturday, March 26, 2005

Day 13

Namaste,

Thanks for your continued healing prayers....Razaa needs all your
prayers at this point of time. Her condition deteriorated last night and
is quite unstable at this point of time. Her heart rate is just not
coming down (is upto 200) and her blood platelet count is also going
down. Doctors suspected some mild bleeding in the brain but are not sure
on the reason for her unstable condition and are working to make her
stable. We are trying to be optimistic but are really scared for any
long term effects that this might have. Please pray for her recovery.

In these last few days, you all have prayed for her well being and we
have a lot of Faith in your healing prayers. Many thanks for your
kindness!

In gratitude,
Gagan

Day 12 - Part 2

Namaste,

Sorry for bombarding your mailbox the second time in a day. But I had to
let you know that Razaa is going through a very tough time...till
yesterday she was doing very good...infact, her jaundice level had also
come down and the doctors had stopped the jaundice treatment. But last
night, she just stopped breathing for a while and the doctors had to put
her back on ventilator. Her breathing is becoming worse....and she has
also turned a little blue (even with the ventilator). The doctors are a
little puzzled and are suspecting acute infection. They have changed her
medicines and are monitoring her closely. Her feed has also stopped.

Please pray for her recovery. Also, keep her parent's in your prayers.
It is a very difficult period for them.

Many thanks,
Gagan

Day 12

Namaste,

Thanks once again for all your beautiful prayers. I feel blessed to have
come in touch with you all who are praying selflessly for a stranger
faraway. The latest on Razaa is that the doctors fear she might have
contracted meningitis. The confirmed diagnosis shall be available in a
day or two, however she has been put on antibiotics as a precautionary
measure. As some of you may know, meningitis in pre-mature babies is a
dangerous condition. So, your healing prayers are much needed to put her
back on the recovery track.

This has been a roller-coaster ride for all of us - with good days & bad
days. I thank you all for your gift of prayers .. please know that they
are making a difference.

Love,
Gagan

Thursday, March 24, 2005

Day 11

Namaste,

Thanks for all your prayers for Razaa. As mentioned yesterday, she is
having a hole in her heart and the doctors got delayed in starting her
medicines. Now she has started showing some side effects because of this
condition like water retention in her body and so a rapid weight
increase which is not a good sign. The doctors finally started the
medicine last night. She has to take two more doses of these medicines
and then wait for 24 hours to see if the hole in her heart is fixed. It
is very important that this treatment works for her. Otherwise she would
require a surgery, which is going to be risky for her.

Her jaundice levels are also not going down..as per the doctors, if it
does not go down in another day or two then that would mean that there
is something wrong with her liver. This tiny little being needs all our
support in the form of prayers and energy. Please keep her in your
thoughts and prayers.

Many thanks,
Gagan

Wednesday, March 23, 2005

Day 10

Namaste,

Thanks for your continued healing prayers...my entire family back in
India is really touched by your prayers. Thank you!

Razaa is doing pretty fine. She is drinking milk and gaining weight. Her
infection has also come down to minimum. The doctors are continuing the
anti-biotic but they said that the infection has really gone down.
The doctors diagnosed a major hole in her heart and they are going to
start the medicines today. In 95% of the cases, this condition is cured
with the medicine and the rest of the cases require surgery. We are
hoping and praying that she would not require surgery as that would slow
down her recovery and put her at higher risk of infection. So please
pray for her heart. Also, she is still battling with jaundice. The
doctors say that it is very normal for jaundice to continue for
pre-mature babies for a long time. It should be fine as long as the
jaundice level does not go high.

For her each day is a fight and so far she is fighting well. As per the
doctors, till she is 34 weeks old (gestation period..she is already 28
weeks), the ups and downs would continue. And I would continue asking
you to send your healing prayers her way.

Many thanks!

In gratitude,
Gagan

PS: Please let me know if you would not like me to send you an update
everyday.

the first touch.... Posted by Hello

Day 9

Namaste,

The latest on Razaa is that her milk intake is increased to 5ml every
two hours. She has also gained 10gms of weight, which is a very positive
sign. The doctors and we all are very hopeful and optimistic. She is
also off the ventilator, which means that she is breathing on her own.

On the flip side - she is still fighting jaundice. The treatment for
jaundice is photo therapy and that is one of the reasons she is not able
to gain a lot of weight. Her jaundice levels are on the border (between
9-10). If it goes beyond 10 then she would require another blood
transfusion. She also has some infection. The doctors have changed her
anti-biotic and are hopeful that she would respond to the new medicines.
Another thing that this tiny being is fighting is some heart problem. I
don't have a lot of details on that except that there are some holes in
her heart (which is common in new born babies). Generally, these holes
are fixed by itself and the doctors are waiting for that to happen for
her.

One more news is that today was the first day when my sister was allowed
to hold Razaa for a while. It was a very touching moment for her and she
cried when she held her.

Once again, we have a lot of Faith in your healing prayers and are so
grateful to all of you for doing this for us.

Many Thanks and love,
Gagan

Monday, March 21, 2005

Day 8

Namaste,

The latest on Razaa is that her milk intake has been increased...she is
taking 4ml milk every 2 hours which is a positive sign. She had some
problem with her heart and the doctors are giving her medicine for it
and hopefully, it is going to be ok. Her infection i.e. sepsis has gone
down but it is not yet cured. And she is still battling with jaundice.
We are happy because she is progressing...but she still needs all of
your prayers. So please keep praying and thank you so much for doing
this.

Many thanks,
Gagan

Sunday, March 20, 2005

Day 7

Namaste,

With God's grace and your healing prayers, Razaa has gained 24 gms,
which is a very positive sign. The doctors are also trying to slowly
take her off the ventilator. But she still has "sepsis" and jaundice.
She has till now not responded to the anti-biotics that are being given
to her for sepsis. The doctors are saying that she should respond in a
day or so otherwise sepsis can also destroy her organs. God has been
very kind on us so far and we are hoping that he would continue to do so
and Razaa will go home and grow up to be a beautiful person.

Many thanks and love,
Gagan

Day 7 - Part 1

Namaste,

The latest on Razaa is that she is developed "sepsis" which means
infection (of lungs but I am not sure). She is on anti-biotics. If
sepsis does not get controlled then it could be very dangerous for her.
She has started having feed every two hours so that should develop her
immune system and help her fight sepsis. Plus the doctors have started
the anti-biotics. In addition, we all are praying and of course, your
healing prayers have it's own special effects.

Thanks again for your healing prayers....I will update you more on
sepsis once I have more news.

Day 5

Namaste,

With God's grace and your prayers, Razaa got her first feed last night.
The doctors called my sister last night and told her that the baby is
ready for milk. So she is getting very small feeds (through tubes)
every two hours. We are hoping that this would help her gain weight. The
doctors are now saying that the chances of survival are 50%....Razaa has
come a long way - from 0% to 50%. We are waiting for the chances to go
upto 100%. All of us are praying hard.

Thanks so much for your healing prayers.

Love and Many thanks,
Gagan

Day 4

Namaste,

Thanks for your healing prayers...here is an update on Razaa--

She had to undergo blood tansfusion last night because of a bad case of
jaundice. She is still struggling for life and is aspirating a lot
because of which the doctor's are not able to put her on breast milk
(which would really benefit her). The doctors tried to take her off the
ventilators but she did not respond well so had to be put back on the
ventilator...we all are still very positive and are hoping for the best.

But we do need all your healing prayers.

Many thanks,
Gagan

Day 3

Namaste and thank you for your healing prayers.

I want to give you an update on my niece...she is still struggling for
life but is progressing fine. She got jaundice yesterday and is also
having some breathing problems but apart from that, she is responding
well. As per the doctors, next one month is critical and chances for
survival are not very high. But it seems that she is fighting all odds.

The name that my sister and her husband has chosen for their little one
is "Razaa", which means God's will. She thought of this name while
praying to God. We are very hopeful that with God's will, Razaa will
make it and grow up to be a happy and normal child.

Please continue praying for her.

Many thanks,
Gagan
